LCD is a technology that is used in computer screens because LCD runs much cooler if compared to a plasma. Then reason why LCD is used in computer screens is because computers screens are used more often, which can cause heat issues.

The reason is because they are available in larger screen sizes, offers better looking colours and contrast. Although, plasma is a expensive technology to develop for manufacturers, therefore making them more expensive to buy in store.
