Be aware of these bad points before overclocking your Nokia 5230
* Overclocking can cause some serious damage your device from overheating because Nokia did not recommend to run higher than 464 mhz which is the current stock processor speed.
* When you do decide to overclock your device you will reduce the battery life of the mobile phone.That is why the cpu's in most modern phones are under clocked to save battery life.
* Also your handset can fail on you if you overclock the cpu more than 800 mhz due to bad heat dispassion so be careful
*You can't really tell the increase speed difference before and after of overclocking.
A guide that shows how you can overclock your 5230
1)Download the matrix x changer a file that contains the modded file that can change you cpu speed.This file will contain a modded kernel and magic boot.
2)Next up is to download Maemo Flasher software and then install it to the phones memory and accept all the certificates.
3)Place the matrix x changer file into the Maemo Flasher in a folder called "cpu800 Mhz "found in the root of the phone memory.
4)Make sure that the battery is charged up more than 75 % and then Switch of the 5230 and take the battery pack out for 30 seconds.
5)Boot your mobile phone up again and it should now boot into a cpu bios screen just like in the image below:
6)Change the cpu frequency to 800 mhz and press the green call key for 5 seconds,and wait for the screen to go green and it will say overclock testing done finish device to enable boot log
7)Then turn off the device and turn it back on again and that's it you have successfully boosted the cpu speed of your Nokia 5230.
