Many people have the idea to use there pc monitor as a hd screen to play there xbox 360 console on.But many don't know how to do it, that is why i have posted this useful guide that will show you how.
1)Buy a good quality xbox to pc monitor cable that is gold plated as this gives better picture and sound.What this cable does is it converts output video signal from your xbox into a vga input, which will plug into the back of your pc screen.
2)Get hold of your pc monitor and look at the back and you will see a vga female connector.If yes is the answer then plug the xbox 360 vga monitor cable into the vga port.If you pc as built in pc speakers, plug in the red and white rca cables into the rca connectors.If your pc screen does not have built in stereo speakers you can use separate pc speakers for sound or a hifi.
3)Now plug the other end of the cable into the back of the xbox 360 console.Turn on both your xbox 360 and pc monitor and see if it works.
4)If it works you should see your xbox dashboard and it will automatically ask you to configure your pc monitors resolution.Make sure configure the correct resolution, if you don't you will be left with a black screen and you have to then reset the display settings to fix it.
