I have purchased a Gamecube console from a different region. Will it play games from a different region and is the Gamecube region free right out of the box?
No unfortunately the Gamecube is region locked. If you purchased your Gamecube from a different region lets say Japan, it will only play NTSC games from there not PAL ones. You can soft mod or hard mod your console to remove the lock, so that you can play games from all around the world though.
