Sony Erricson have made a excellent mobile phone called the x10, but in fact many users who own this handset including myself, are not amazed by the music player's sound quality that it has to offer. The Sony Erricson doesn't even have a built in adjustable equalizer, which is a necessary feature for most music devices. So i decided to tweak around and try different solutions to improve the sound quality and clarity and they sure worked, below is a list of them!
1)First thing is ditch the stock earphones and upgrade them to something that has quality, such as Skull candy or Bose, both brands that make excellent headphones, that deliver excellent sound quality. If you can't afford them, as a other alternative you can buy affordable earphones for Sony and Panasonic.
2)I realised that my music was ripped at 128 kbps, which offers less detail in music, if compared to 320 kbps. The general rule is the more higher the bitrate is, the more detail is in the audio file, which results in better sound quality. So don't use poor audio encoding compression and rip all your music Cd's to 320 kbps.
3)Buy a earphone amplifier. What it does is reduce distortion at high volume levels and make your earphones or headphones sound louder.
