If your car amplifier turns on, but there is no sound, try the solutions below to resolve this problem:
)Check your rca cable, is it inserted into the correct rca jacks? On the car head unit, the rca cable should always be connected to a output and on your car amplifier connected to a input. The rca cable's job is to grab the input signal from the car stereo and send it to the amp, then the amp amplifies that signal.
)Adjust your gain control on your car amp, sometimes by accident it can be turned off.
)Is you ohm impedance load to low for your car amp to handle, does it go into protection mode? What happens is sometimes people bridge or lower there ohm load, so they can gain more rms watts, and results it the amp to turn on. If you have done so and have gone below the recommended ohm load the manufacturers said, then your amp will fail to power on and cause no sound, so make sure your ohm load is correct.
)If your car amplifier turns on and there is no sound and you have tried the 3 solutions above, then it could be your speaker/subwoofer that your powering, that can be the cause to this problem. So get a random speaker and using spare speaker wire, hook it up to the car amp. If that speaker produces sound, then its your speaker/subwoofer that causing no sound.
