How To Increase PSP Battery Life

If you want to extend the duration of the battery in the Sony psp console, do the following:

1)Install custom firmware on to your psp and then underclock the psp CPU speed. Underclocking the processor, will save battery life because the CPU, if underclocked does not have to work as hard as being clocked at 222 MHz stock. Underclocking is a excellent way to save battery life on the psp, if you watching movies or listening to music. If your playing games, underclocking is not really recommend because the loading times will be really slow and the frame rates will be reduced, making game play annoying.

2)Reduce the brightness level to the lowest settings. The more higher it is set, the more back light the more power drains power are taken from the psp battery, without question.

3)Mute the volume. If you still want sound use earphones instead because they don't take that much battery life, if compared to the built in stereo speakers.

4)Rip your umd games to iso or cso formats and then play them from the memory stick. Doing this will save  make your games run fast and save battery life because the psp no longer needs power to operate the umd drive.

5)Replace the stock battery pack with a extended extra capacity battery.
