How To Prevent a PSP From Overheating and Shutting Down

If your psp 1000, 2000, 3000 or go console overheats, freezes and then shuts down and power's itself automatically off, then it is likely it's suffering from overheating. This is because the components on the circuit board are getting stressed from heat, then the psp turns off, this is to prevent them to get damaged and burnt out.

Below are some excellent tips on how to keep your psp cooler and also how to prevent your psp from overheating:

1)Don't overclock the CPU beyond its stock speed that is set by the manufacturer. Doing this can increase the heat that is produced from the processor and can actually burn it out, if overheating is not being prevented. When overclocking your psp CPU, you will reduce your psp battery life as well

2)Under clock your CPU, lower than what Sony set it to. Doing it, will make your psp slower, but it will reduce the heat produced by the CPU because it doesn't have to work as hard.

3)Don't play with your psp in a warm room, with a high temperature.

4)If your psp console feels warmer than usual, then power it off for 3 minutes, just to let it cool down.
