Porting a sealed subwoofer enclosure box, will it work?

Yes it possible to port a sealed subwoofer box, but you won't gain as much potential as making a new ported custom subwoofer enclosure. Your probably thinking that porting a sub box is simply cutting a hole and sticking a port into it. Well its not, because a port has to have the right amount of length and port area to operate correctly. Also the subwoofer driver and enclosure has to also be compatible with the port. The subwoofer enclosure has to have the correct amount of cubic volume, if it doesn't have the correct amount you will hear port noise. So its best to leave the sealed box and don't bother porting it because really its a waste of effort and time!
