If your psp game save file is corrupted, your psp can't use the game save, which is really annoying if you have been putting lots of time and efforts to complete a game and your hard work has gone to waste. Well don't worry too much because there is a way to fix a psp saved game file that is corrupted.
Instructions:
1)First you will have to do download the files which are below:
SED
Freecheat
2)Once you have download them you will need to install freechat onto your psp console. To install free chat onto your psp, connect your psp using a usb cable, to your computer and then simply using your computer mouse, copy and paste freechat to the root of the psp memory stick.
3)Once you have copied freechat onto the root of the memory stick, you will need to now copy the SED file into the SEPLUGIN folder, that is found on the memory stick. Once you have done that, you will need to open a new notepad document and enter the following into it:
game.txt
game150.txt
pops.txt
vsh.txt
Once you have typed the text above into notepad, save the notepad document in .txt format into SEPLUGIN folder.
4)Remove the usb came from the psp and power off the psp. Now hold the R button on the psp console and power on the psp. Then go to plug and and enable fc_3xx.prx or something similar. Once you have enabled it, exit from the recovery menu, by selecting exit recovery mode.
5)Now that you have installed the the files onto your psp console, press the note key, on the psp console to boot freechat.
6)Once it has booted, select memory manager-savedata manager-operate mode and finally select dump mode.
7)Get to a save point and save your game save data into a new slot. The new slot will be your new game save data file.
8)Exit the game and reconnect the psp usb cable and enable it to go into usb mode. Then copy and paste the .key file from freechat-savedata into /PSP/GAME/SED/GAMEKEY/. Then rename the extension .key file to .bin, using your keyboard.
9)Load SED and find your game save file that is corrupted. Using the directional button on the psp, press the triangle button and then select the top option, by pressing circle and press yes, by pressing circle button.
10)Exit SED and go to usb mode again and look for a .bin on the root of the psp memory stick, rename that file to match the name of the new game save folder.
11)Load SED once again and this time find your new game save file data. Using the directional button on the psp, press the triangle button and then select the second option, by pressing circle and press yes, by pressing circle button.
11)Start the game with your corrupted game save file and load the new game save data file you just put together and you will have your game save file with the data you saved on it, the data that got corrupt should be fixed now.
