If you have a ps3 console you may want to connect it to the internet to play games online or download content of the PSN store. In order for you to do that, you will need to connect your console to the internet, either by using a ethernet wired connection, a usb modem broadband dongle or a wireless connection using your wireless router and Wi-Fi on the ps3. If you are going to choose Wi-Fi because you are going to move your ps3 console around your house, then i have provided the instructions to help your ps3 get connected to the internet wirelessly.
)Make sure your wireless router has a active internet connection and make sure it is turned on.
)Power on your ps3 console and let the XMB menu load up on the television screen.
)Once it has loaded up, go to 'Settings' then select 'Network' then select 'Internet Connection Settings' and press the 'X' button on the PlayStation controller.
)Then choose the connection setting method called 'Easy', this is by highlighting it and pressing the 'X' button on the PlayStation controller.
)It will then ask you to choose the type of connection, the connection that you want to select is called 'Wireless', not 'Wired'.
)Then it will ask you to search for any wireless access points, let the ps3 search for your wireless router. Once it has found its name, select it and it will connect to the wireless router and obtain the isp address from your provider automatically.
)Your wireless router and ps3 console should be hooked up with each other and your ps3 should have a working internet connection, the ps3 will inform you when the connection is made successfully.
