How To Replace a Nokia 6230i Buzzer Ringer LoudSpeaker / Solution Problem Fix

The Nokia 6230i uses two internal speakers, a ear piece speaker, which is used to hear conversations during calls and a loudspeaker, which is used for music playback, alarm clock and ringtones. If you hear crackling sounds when the loudspeaker is in use, this is a sign that the speaker has become faulty and will need replacing, before it causes a problem later on. Thanks to the way Nokia designed this particular mobile phone, no screwdrivers or special tools are required to replace the loudspeaker. So this repair should be very easy for you to perform on your device at home.

1) Power off your Nokia 6230i by holding down the 'Power Button' down for 3 seconds. This will turn off the mobile phone, so you can proceed with fixing the speaker problem safely.

2) Turn the Nokia 6230i upside down, with the screen and buttons facing down. Then remove the back plastic battery lid by pressing the 'Tab' found at the bottom of it and sliding it downwards.

3) Now that you have removed the rear plastic battery lid housing, you will need to remove the antenna, its found above the BL5C battery pack. This part is used to make the mobile phone receive incoming signals from your network provider, so you can make calls, texts and browse the internet. This part also houses the loudspeaker inside it, so what you need to do is remove it. So get a spare 'Sim Card' and insert it into the edge of the antenna and slide all the way around it to pry it out.

4) Once the antenna has been successfully removed, you will see a 'Circle' shaped 'Loudspeaker'. Using your finger, remove it from the speaker's housing and replace it with your new replacement part speaker.

5) Once you have installed the new replacement loudspeaker, place the antenna back onto the top section of the mobile phone, lining up the '3 Gold Color Pins' and press it down. You will hear a couple of click sounds once it has firmly locked in. Then reattach the battery lid by placing it onto the back of the mobile phone and pushing it upwards, you will hear a click sound when it is locked in.
