How To Clean The Back Of a Screen Protector To Remove Dust

What Does a Screen Protector Do?

If you use your mobile phone daily, through constant in and out use of your pockets, the screen will become scratched. If you are concerned about scratches, you can place a screen protector onto the outer screen. The screen protector is made out a plastic film material, which acts as another layer on the outer screen. Instead of the outer screen getting scratched, the screen protector will be scratched. This means that the outer screen will be still in good condition and is scratch free. Sometimes dust particles and hair can get underneath the screen protector. You can see the dust particles and hairs when you look directly at the screen in a well lighted location. What you can do to get rid of the dust, is remove the screen protector and give it a quick clean.

How To Get Rid Of Dust On The Screen Protector

1) Remove the screen protector from your phone. Look for a corner of the screen protector film. Prick the corner with your nail and pry up the screen protector. Then gently peel it away from the outer screen to remove it.

2) Positioning the screen protector. Now that the screen protector is removed from the outer screen, turn it upside down, so that the glue side is facing upwards. You will see that the dust particles are stuck onto the glue.

3) Get hold of some tape. You will use the tape to stick it onto the gluey side of the screen protector to remove any dust, dirt or hairs. So cut off '8' cm of tape from the roll and scrunch it into a small ball.

4) Cleaning the screen protector. Then stick the ball onto the gluey side of the screen protector. Then cover all areas, by rolling it upwards and downwards continuously for 1 minute. Stop and check your progress to see if it has made any improvement. If you can still see some dust and hair particles, then continue cleaning it until they have all disappeared.
