The port that is fitted into a subwoofer box can be tuned for a different type of bass sound. If you want boomy loud bass then its ideal to tune around 40-50 HZ. However, if you want deep chest pounding bass that shakes the ground you want to tune around 30 HZ or below. To tune the port on your car subwoofer enclosure, you will need to work out the correct parameters to determine your required tuning frequency.
2) Make a note of the correct diameter and length of the port.
3) Get a hand saw and cut the plastic accordingly to your desired specs.
