If you have smashed or broken the screen on your Samsung Galaxy S4 its kinda tricky to reset it back to factory settings. This is because you will need to select certain options that are provided on screen to go through the reset procedure. This maybe consider if you are going to sell your phone onto somebody.
1) Connect the HDMI cable to the phone and into the back of your television.
2) Power off phone.
3) Hold the volume up, home and power buttons buttons together.
4) Once your into recovery mode you can release the buttons.
5) Select the factory restore/reset option from the menu provided with a short list.
