If you have forgotten the security code for your Nokia 8310 you will not be able to unlock the phone and get access to the content on the phone. This a common problem with old phones because you setup a password leave it in the cupboard for 10 years and bring it back out forgetting the password on your Nokia phone. Thankfully, this phone is very old and there is a clever method for removing the password on your Nokia 5310 it will setup the security code back to default of 12345. Now we can't confirm that it works for all firmware software versions, but we have tested it on a few and its resets the security code on the Nokia 8310. This method was discovered by Chu Ling at CPL electronics Taiwan.
1) Hard reset your Nokia phone by pressing '* +
3+Green Call and power on the phone at the same time.
2) Your phone will start up and will ask you for
a lock code. Since you don't know what it is enter it incorrectly five times.
This will place the phone into restriction mode.
3)You will need to enter the following code into
the phones keypad *968487221#.
4) Press the power button down three times, but
don't hold it down. Take the battery out and the sim card and place them back
after 30 seconds.
5) If done correctly the phone will restart and
it ask you to select the language. The phone will be hard reset and the
security code on your Nokia 8310 will be reset.
