How To Fix HD Sapphire Radeon 7950 No Display Signal Problem

If you have just upgraded your graphics card in your computer to the Sapphire Radeon 7950 and you get no display on your PC monitor, most of the time it is simply a human error. So please consider the solutions that have been provided. If neither of them work its most likely a faulty video card possibly a defect. So you will need to return this hardware back to the shop, so ensure you receipt is handy!

1) Ensure that your PC screen is in the mode you have connected your video card in. So if you have connected using a VGA Cable, then ensure that the monitor is enabled in that type of mode.

2) Your power supply may be insufficient to power up the GPU. According to the manufacturers website it states that a minimum of a 500 watt PSU with 2 x 75 watt 6 pin connector blocks is required. If your PSU is below this specification then you need more grunt to turn it on. So you need to upgrade that component with a higher rating.

3) Ensure that both the 6 pin PCI connectors are firmly connected into the graphics card. Loose connections are very common to cause this kind of issue.

4) Ensure that the on board graphics is disabled through bios. This is because sometimes it can conflict with the 7950.

5) Ensure that previous graphics card drivers are fully uninstalled and removed before installation of the new video card.

6) Try a spare VGA/HDMI/DVI cable. It could have a broken pin or degraded wiring.

7) Reseat the card into the slot. There could be a possibility that the gold pins are not correctly lined up on the motherboard causing no video output issues.
