The Zyxel adsl internet modems are ideal if you're on a tight budget. They are the best value money can buy in terms of build quality and performance. In order to enter the configuration screen to gain access to vital settings in the browser, it will ask you for a password. From the factory it is set as '1234' default. If you have changed this in the past and have forgotten what it is you won't be able to log in. Thankfully, there is a way around this to reset the password back to its original that is printed on the sticker.
1) Ensure that the Zyxel modem is switched on. Turn it around and look at the back for a reset button. It is a small button housed inside a small hole, it will be labeled so it is easily identifiable.
2) You will need a small object. I would suggest using the end of a paper clip.
3) Insert the object into the hole holding it in that position for 10 seconds followed by releasing it.
4) It will be hard reset and the lights will go off and it will retrain back up. Job Done!
