How To Fix a CD Player That Keeps Skipping Music


Having a portable CD player is ideal to own if you like to listen to your music on the move. Having a portable type of CD player allows you to get the highest amount of sound quality, which your average mp3 player can't provide. After a while of daily use of switching discs, dust will enter the mechanism. This can make your CDs skip even though they are not scratched or moved from shock vibrations. If this is the situation, in your case you may need to clean the laser lens on your portable CD player. So here are the instructions on how to perform this maintenance professionally.

1) Switch off your CD Player and remove the batteries.

2) Press the eject button to pop open the flap. Remove any inserted disc from the player.

3) Obtain rubbing alcohol solution and power a small drop on the blue side of the lens of the laser.

4) Now you have done that, gently using a soft cotton bud rub in the solution. 

5) Allow up to a minute for the solutions to evaporate and dry off. To prevent dust getting in the player again, ensure that your discs are clean before playback each time.
