If you notice that the battery life on your Samsung Galaxy S4 has significantly reduced and no longer holds charge for very long, it might be time to look into replacing it. You can also purchase a extended battery life kit as well. Its easier replacing the battery if compared directly against an iphone because no screwdrivers are required to open the unit up.
1) Power off your phone by holding down the power button on the right hand side.
2) If you have a rubber boot protective cover remove it.
3) Look at the back of the phone were the camera and speaker grill are located. If you look at the top of the phone there is a small grove which you insert your finger nail in to pry up the plastic back cover.
4) Once the cover is removed, you will see the battery pack inside. Simply tap the phone a couple of times on your hand and it will release itself from the housing.
