What is a car amplifier?
A car amp basically receives a input signal from the rca leads and then process's that signal from the head unit into the amplifier and makes into a bigger signal to power a speaker or subwoofer. The benefits from amping door speakers can give you better sound clarity, quality and more bass response. Most car head units start to clip the signal at high volume levels and play distortion, and that is why most people by a small 4 or 2 channel amp to give the speakers a clean signal.
Sometimes it depends because if you have got a cheap set of component speakers or stock paper cone speakers in the front side door then you will not hear or tell any difference at all.If you install a mid range car amplifier to power a decent set of speakers then you will surely and instantly tell the difference. When you install a amplifier you need a wiring kit and that can be very hard to wire up,so you might need to watch some videos that show you how.Make sure that you match the rms wattage of the amp to the wattage of the speaker or subwoofer that you want to power. You don't your speakers voice coil from burning out, unless you want to spend extra money on a recone kit.Make sure you don't underpower them as well because that is just as bad as overpowering its a general rule in car audio that you got to learn.
