Q)How to update the firmware on the Nokia 6230i as i would like to get more features and fix bugs?
A)No you can't upgrade the Nokia 6230i and 6230 firmware with just using a usb data cable and jaf software to write the flash it is not possible with any series 40 phone.Upgrading and downgrading the software version on the handset can only be done with some sort of special flashing tool and buying it is not so cheap as you think.Some people are saying on forums that you can update the firmware via bluetooth that is also not possible.
A simple solution is to take your mobile phone to a nokia service center and let them update the firmware.Its more cheaper then buying the flashing tools and doing the flash yourself.
