If you notice, when your press your foot on the break pedal, the brakes make a squealing sound, the car is unsafe to be driven on the road. If you do hear this sound, when your are using the breaks, the sound indicates that the break pads are worn out and will need replacing, the sooner the better. If you don't change straight away, when you hear that sound, you are allowing the break pads to get completely worn down, to a point were there is no pad left. Then what will happen is the metal components that create the breaking system for your car will rub together and it will cost you more money to replace all of the them, so if i were you, i go replace the break pads immediately. If you want to save some cash, you can remove the worn break pads from your car and replace them yourself, it easy once you have done it the first time.
To help you out, below is a simple and short guide that will instruct you on how you can change your cars brake pads yourself, without having to take your car to a garage:
1)The first thing need to do is to order brand new replacement brake pads that fit you car's make and model. Make sure you buy original brake pads as these will last more longer then cheap copy aftermarket parts.
2)Once you got the new breaks, get access to your car that you want to change the brakes.
3)Try and loosen up the lug nuts that hold the car wheel. This can be achieved by using a cheap or free lug wrench which should come with your car jack. Once they are loose, keep them in a safe place.
4)Get your car jack and jack up your car evenly on each side of the car, this is so you can work on the breaks with ease.
5)Remove the wheels and place them to one side.
6)You will see a flat silver metal disc and a brake caliper.
7)Remove all the bolts that hold the brake caliper in place.
8)Remove the caliper and then remove the old worn out brake pad.
9)Replace the old brake pads with a brand new brake pad.
10)Once the old brake pad is replaced and changed with a new one, put the car wheel back on the car and reverse the lug nuts process.
(Apply steps 1-10 for each wheel that has worn out break pads.)
11)Lower the car with the jack.
12)Put all the equipment and tools you used away and take you car for a test drive to test if the brakes work perfectly.
You put the all great things which makes all people getting interested. but yes that is right, i agree. all you mention is make a sense. Thanks
