1)Go to this website http://unlock.nokiafree.org/ and find the model number of your Nokia mobile phone which is going to be 6230i in this case.
2)Once you have selected that the unlocking generator needs your phone imei number/serial number.To find out you Nokia 6230i serial number enter *#06# and then enter it into the generator.
3)Choose the network that your phone is currently locked on.
4)Next choose which gen your Nokia 6230i is classed in.
5)Make sure all the information you gave into the unlocking generator is correct.Then press, "Get Nokia unlock code".
6)It should bring you a list of various codes that the generator has generated for your phone to be unlocked.You have to try each code because sometimes the first code on the list does not work.The maximum times you can enter a unlocking code into the 6230i is 5 times.If you go over that limit then you can no longer unlock the phone using codes.Instead you will be forced to take it to a local mobile phone shop or store to unlock it for you for a small fee.
