The Nokia x6 does not have support to add widgets out of the box like the n97 mini.Custom firmware needs to be installed to get them working.
1)You have to install custom firmware on your device first to get the option to add widget gadgets into your phones homescreen.This application will not work with original firmware as the app needs to be un-signed.
2)There is this really good application that called widgetizer 1.04 that works with most Nokia smart phones running the symbain 3 operating system(s60v5).This application lets your Nokia device to have a homescreen that you can customise and add various widgets you see on other mobile phones such as the HTC.
This widgets application includes the following widgets:
*2 htc style clocks,
*A music player icon,
*Bluetooth icon,
*A icon that makes your camera flash into a on/off torch.
This app which is freeware can add widgets on the following Nokia models:
