How to fix a Nokia x6 that won't turn on properly or charge

Many owners of the Nokia x6 16 GB have problems turning the mobile phone on and having trouble charging it up. A sign of this problem occurring is when you plug in the charger into your device and there is no charging indicator in the top right corner.

Solutions that can resolve this issue:

1)When charging your x6, power it off and remove the battery and put it back. Next, plug one end of your charger into the electrical outlet and the other end into your phone's charging port. Now turn on your electrical outlet. You see the Nokia screen popping up, now remove the charger from the phone. Your phone will power off again. Now quickly put the charger into the port when your handset vibrates at the start up.

2)Remove the battery and clean the battery contacts.

3)Try replacing the battery with a brand new original Nokia battery. If the the replacement battery still fails to power the Nokia x6 on and still it won't charge, try a different charger.

4)Reset your x6 to factory settings.

5)Update your x6 firmware to the latest up-to-date software version, over the air (OTA) or with a usb cable and computer.

  1. The best solution that worked on my nokia x6 phone was pressing red + green + camera keys all at the same time and then pressing the power button while still pressing the 3 buttons mentioned above. I have read comments from different forum sites that this solution was not good for them since they have lost all their applications, their contacts and their messages. Good thing for me is that I configured my phone to have a scheduled back up every week that's why my applications, songs and gallery items were all recovered. Only that I lost all my contacts and messages. :(
