How to fix and stop a graphics card from overheating

A computer graphic card can overheat, only if the gpu is pushing its graphics power to its limits. Although there are some certain solutions below, that you can try and hopefully prevent your graphics card from getting damaged.

1)Clean your graphics card's cooling fan and heat sink, using a compressed can of air or a cleaning cloth. Dust is a common cause to make your computer graphics card overheat.

2)Replace the stock heat sink with a aftermarket heat sink, especially if you overclocked your graphics card for more performance.

3)Replace the stock cooling fan on the graphics card with a water cooling system. Water cooling is really expensive to buy, but its more effective on keeping the temperature cool.

4)Increase the fan speed on the gpu fan, by using speedfan that lets you control the rpm of the fan. When you increase the fan speed, you are also increasing the noise of your fan, always remember that.

5)Add some exhaust fans to your PC case. Exhaust fans, will help get rid of the hot air that's trapped inside your PC tower and help keep the graphics card at a cool operating temperature.
