Both the Nokia 6280 and 6288 have a common problem, which is the screen underneath the top cover gets dusty and can ruin the look of the phone altogether. The dust enters through the gaps between the top part of the housing and gets blown onto the screen. Giving the screen a quick wipe using a lint free cloth, will remove the dust, but first you will need to remove the top cover to get access to the screen.
Instructions on how to remove the Nokia 6280/6288 top cover and remove dust on the screen:
1)Using a sim card, push the sim into the sides of the top cover and slide the sim card all the way around the cover. This will unclip the clips that hold the cover onto the main part of the phone. If it is the first time the cover is being removed, it will take some effort to remove it, as Nokia glued the cover onto the phone!
2)Once the cover is removed, get a lint free cloth and gently clean the screen.
3)Once you have cleaned the screen and the dust has been removed, replace the top cover you just removed.
