How To Resove PS1 Games Not Working on a PSP

Having problems loading ps1 games onto your psp console?

1)Make sure your psp is running custom firmware. If you are trying to play ps1 games on a psp that is running official firmware it will not work!

2)Make sure the ps1 game is placed into the folder called 'GAME', located in the folder called 'PSP' that is in the root on the memory stick.

3)If you are using your psp to play old classic ps1 games and they don't work and the psp displays a black screen, then there is a problem. If the ps1 game you want to play on your psp console is compressed, it will not boot onto the psp's hardware. So using ISO producer, try uncompressing the ps1 game and hopefully it will boot successfully onto your psp without any problems.

4)If uncompressing the ps1 game still makes the psp not boot it, then the ps1 game was not converted correctly, or is a bad dump of the game from the original source. The only way to resolve this is to obtain a new dump from the ps1 game disc.
