A Xbox gamertag gives a Xbox user a unique identification of your own status of your gaming and other activity's you have been doing on your Xbox console. A gamertag represents yourself on Xbox live and you can include your personal gamer zone and picture. A gamertag also gives you the availability to customize the way your personal Avatar looks, that represents you as a cartoon.
A gamertag contains your own hard earned gamerscore achievements that you can unlock in games you have played. It also contains a gamercard, which has all the information about your profile, so people on Xbox live can browse what qualities your gamertag has. A gamercard includes your gamer picture, reputation, gamerscore, gamer zone and games that you have recently played on your console.
