How To Connect a Headphone Amplifier To a Computer PC Laptop

If you notice that the sound your headphones produce into your ear drums is not loud enough for music satisfaction, then i suggest you consider a headphone amp. A headphone amp creates a larger output to increase db produced by the drivers and sound quality. If you have a headphone amplifier and you want to connect it to your computer (PC) or laptop because you want louder sound out of your headphones, using your computer, then follow the instructions provided below:

Instructions:

1)A headphone amp will have a input and output jacks. So get a double ended 3.5mm jack lead and connect one end into the headphone amps input jack and the other end into the green colour jack on the sound card. A sound card can be found on the rear of your computer and on the sides or rear of a laptop.

2)OK so the headphone amplifier can now receive sound signal from your computer or laptop sound card. Now you need to connect your headphones to it, simply insert the 3.5mm jack, found on the end of the headphones wires and connect it into the 3.5mm output jack on the amp.

3)Once the connections are made, the amp is ready for action, so power it on. Test the sound, if it sounds that it is lacking bass or treble, then tweak around with different frequencies bands found in the equalizer.
