What does a headphone amplifier do to sound?
A headphone amplifier is used to increase the amount of decibels the drivers inside the headphone produce, basically making the sound more louder to your ears. Inside a headphone amplifier, there is a circuit; its job is to make the input signal received for a music device, to make it larger and powerful out of the other end and into your headphones. A headphone amplifier is connected to a input device, such as a mp3 player or mobile phone using the 3.5mm input jack, using double end leads and you plug you headphones into the 3.5mm jack on the amp, they are really easy to setup, you should have any trouble, even if you are a noob. Headphone amplifiers can also increase the amount of sound quality heard through the drives because it increase the amount of power that is available for the drivers, they also get rid of distortion and clipping. Headphone amplifiers can come in different 20mW and 2 watts, so you can decide how loud you want your pair of headphone to sound. Smaller powered headphone amps are power by a square 9 volt battery, some larger powered ones though plug into your mains socket.
