You can download for free and install the Opera Mini internet browser onto your Smartphone. Opera Mini provides many benefits including a special data compression feature. So when you use Opera Mini to browse the web, it will consume less data, if compared with the regular phones web browser. It is always ideal to check how much data usage has been used. This will allow you to see how much data is sent and received over a period of time. That way you can track how much data you use, so that you don't go over your internet allowance and get overcharged.
1) Tap the 'Opera' logo to launch the application.
2) You will see a 'Long' bar at the bottom of the screen. Look for a Small red 'Opera' logo in the bottom right hand corner. Once you have found it, tap the logo to expand the different features.
3) Select the 'Help' option, followed by 'Data Usage' from the list provided. You will get numerical statistics displayed onscreen on how much internet data allowance you have used. To reset it back to zero, tap the small icon at the bottom of the screen that says 'Reset'.
