In order to receive channels on your Freeview set top box, you will need to connect an aerial directly to it. If you are going to connect an indoor aerial, you will need to ensure that it has a built in amplifier booster to amplify the incoming signal. If you use an cheap regular indoor aerial with your digibox, the channels will keep on randomly crashing or won't even catch at all. Connecting an indoor TV aerial directly to your Freeview box is a straightforward process. It already comes fitted with a coax cable and connector, so it is just the matter of plug and play.
1) Switch off your Freeview Box from the wall socket.
2) Locate the Freeview box and turn it around. So that the rear side is facing towards you. You will see multiple sockets on the back for all different types of setups. The socket that you want to look for is called 'RF/ANT Input'. It is a circle shape and has a smaller hole for a metal pin in the middle.
3) Once you have located the correct type of socket, obtain the coax connector of the indoor aerial and firmly push it into the RF socket.
