Car audio tweeters are usually made from soft materials. This means they are more prone to get popped in. This usually does not have an impact on the sound quality or performance, however it can look as if the tweeter is damaged and not working to others. Also the resell value is dropped from this kind of bad condition of it. But don't worry though you can restore and unpop any car audio tweeter in under a minute.
1) Turn off the music to prevent damage to the tweeter voice coil when in the process of repairing.
2) Remove the speaker protective grill if there is one.
3) Place masking tape directly onto the poped in area.
4) Slowly remove the masking tape pulling towards you. This will restore the original shape of the dented area back to its former glory.
