How To Replace Fiio E17 Internal Battery Pack

The fiio e17 has a small internal battery pack that is fitted inside the casing to provide power on the go to the amplifier. Overtime, after daily use and regular charging cycles, the performance of the battery will start to slowly degrade. It will then eventually at some point stop working all together or won't hold charge for very long. The battery pack is directly soldered onto the PCB. The best way around if you don't have a soldering iron is to cut the wires half way and join the together with the matching colors on the new battery pack with plastic insulation electrical tape.

Remember to purchase a battery pack of the same kind, in terms of size and specifications. You want a battery that can provide 3.7 volts and is around 1000 mAh or more.

1) Open the back part of the Fiio e17 amplifier. You will need to remove the small screws.

2) Look inside there will be a flat rectangular shaped battery pack inside.

3) Unsolder the red and black wires from the PCB board. Remember were the wire colors go for installing the new battery pack.

4) Refit the new battery and solder the negative and positive wires to the board in there correct points.
