The PSP buttons out of the box are quiet clicky and don't respond as quick for games like street fighter. If you want to increase the button sensitivity level on your handheld, you will need to do a hardware mod. You will require some stickers to be placed underneath the buttons to reduce the delay of it making contact with the actual board.
1) Remove all the screws from the back of the console.
2) Lift of the faceplate.
3) Place any kind of stickers at the base of the buttons. Make sure they are not placed on the metal contacts or they will no longer function. Play around with it to increase or decrease sensitive levels.
