Below are some tips and solutions that should help you get rid of annoying sound:
1)Check your wiring, is it damp, damaged or wet? Damp speaker wires can cause a short, and it can cause your speakers to make a crackling sound. If your wires are damaged and have copper oxide, static can get into the copper, making your speakers sound like they are buzzing or humming. If you wires have a little damage and its not to severe, get some insulation tape and tape the damaged area. If you afford to buy new speaker wire then buy it!
2)Is you speaker wiring touching each other? Just to make double sure that the wires are not touching each other, get your insulation electrical tape and tape the naked, braid ends of the each wires. This is to prevent further interference when you are driving your car, as movement could cause them to touch together, if there not insulated off with tape.
3)If your using a cassette player as your car head unit, your cassette mechanism can get dirty from dusty, old cassettes. A dirty head can be the cause of crackling noises to be heard on your speakers and subwoofers. So get a cassette head cleaner kit and complete the cleaning process.
