Nokia 5233 sound quality and loudness review

Let me make one thing clear the Nokia 5233 is not ideal if your buying it for just music playback. This is because it has more cons then pros on the music side. There were too many cons, so i have narrow the main problems and find reasons why the music player is rubbish.
In my review of testing the phones music ability i was focusing on:

The sound quality
The sound quality of the Nokia 5233 is not brilliant as you think. To make the test more accurate i played a audio file that is in aac format at 256 kb, which is a high quality audio file. When i was testing the music sound quality using headphones and through the built in loudspeaker, i actually realized it lacks the bass and treble sounds. When i was listening carefully,  i did noticed there was a lack of detail in the song. That detail that i can't hear on the Nokia 5233 can be heard on the xpressmusic and other x series phones, which i did find odd. Overall it can't even provide proper stereo sound quality playback using the loudspeaker because it has a mono dedicated audio chip duh!

The loudness
During the tests of the music player, i also wanted to check how loud it can play music.Well i played a audio clip, with volume level set on the maximum level and the sound was not loud as i expected. I assume the sound is not loud because it has only one loudspeaker, which can result in poor sounding audio. Although this issues can be resolved by using sound booster software. I also tested the volume level using a pair of earphones that came supplied with the handset. Examining the loudness of the music player using earphones i realized that the loudness also sucks as well as the sound quality! As i was listening using my ears, i also noticed when you increase the volume you can hear a popping noise.Maybe in the future Nokia will release a software update that will fix this bug.

The music player usability
I was not please with both loudness and sound quality, but i fell in love with the Nokia music player. Why? because it is simple and quick to use and it supports a wide range of audio formats such as: mp3, aac and wma. The only disappointment i saw is that Nokia still did not add a support for using music files in ogg or flac format.

with my testing audio per-amplifier work perfect, but main amplifier can not amplify high
    frequency.so lack of clarity.
if you already buy this, then no problem.use must must use philips "she" series headset which give perfect sound quality which is acceptable.or use higher quality bluetooth headset.because there sound quality not depend on 52333 audio chip.

  2. I use the original Skull Candy earphones with warranty. I found Nokia 5233's music just perfect!

Perfect bass and clarity. The Stereo Widening/Surround Sound mode is way better than what is offered by Sony Xperia Tipo, my new phone. I still use 5233 for listening to music.
