The Honda vtec is an excellent feature on most Honda car's like the Civic and Prelude. This is because it increases bhp power, when it kicks in at a high rpm rev range. Its similar to a turbo charger and has the same purpose, which is to create more power. You might want to make the vtec crossover engage more louder and hit harder, or make the engine sound more aggressive or make the exhaust growl, then below are all the ways you can make that happen!
Replace you car's stock air intake system with a aftermarket intake. Aftermarket intakes are an affordable upgrade for most Honda owners and it boosts torque and horsepower as well! An aftermarket air intake system will make your vti sound louder on your car because it allows more air into the filter, which therefore increase the loudness of your car's vtec engine, when it kicks in.
You can also upgrade your exhaust system to a cat back or remove the catalyst converter on the stock exhaust system and replace it with a straight pipe. Doing this will make the vtec sound louder and scream and also will add a loud sport exhaust sound that most boy racers love. But removing the catalyst converter and replacing it with a straight pipe on your car, will make it fail its MOT test at the testing station and will reduce the petrol fuel consumption a little.
You could but a vtec controller as this will allow you to control which rpm the vtec kicks in. So lets say you put your foot down a the rpm reaches to 4000 rpm, the vtec will not kick in, but if you set the vtec controller to make the vtec kick it at 4000 rpm, it will do so. A vtec controller is connected to the car's ecu unit and can be mounted underneath the car head unit wheel, for easy access.
Good information on this post. Also, it is really nice to listen all your words. Thanks for sharing this.
