The Sony PlayStation 2 fat style console has a cooling fan at the rear, but the question today is does the ps2 slimline have a cooling fan?
The ps2 slimline looks compact, so compact that you think that is doesn't have a cooling fan. Most people think how can a cooling fan fit inside a ps2 slimline console and i exactly though the same thing. So i was eager to find out if the ps2 slimline has a internal cooling fan, so i decided to dissemble my own console apart. Once i removed the top cover, i saw a small internal cooling fan placed on the left hand side, opposite a silver coloured heat sink.
The purpose of the cooling fan is to remove the hot air from the console by exhausting the hot air out from the rear air vent that is placed on the rear of the ps2 slimline console.
