If the fans in your Xbox 360 are loud, it can get annoying during game play or watching a film. The fans in the older Xbox 360's that are manufactured before 2007, came with loud fans, making it sound like a hairdryer. If you have a console that is manufactured before or after 2007 you can clean the blades of the fans and clean and remove dust from the heat sinks as well as the side and rear air vents that are placed on the console. Cleaning the dust up will help quite down the noisy fans. When there is lots of dust and dirt inside the Xbox 360 console, the cooling fans have to work harder to help keep the GPU and CPU cool. For example, if the air vents on the rear of the console are blocked with dust, the hot air can't escape from the console, therefore the fans have to spin faster, this is so the fans can force the hot air out through the blocked rear vents, which will increase the loudness of them. Carrying out the cleaning process will involve dissembling your console, which will void your warranty.
If you have cleaned the fan blades and have cleaned the air vents and you still find the fan annoyingly loud, then replace the stock cooling fans with talismoon whipser fans. The talismoon whipser fans help push more hot air out of the console, light up the rear of the console blue and run 7% quieter, if compared to the stock oem fans that Microsoft placed in the console, when it left the factory. Replacing the stock fans with talismoon whipser fans, will require you to open you console, this will void the warranty, so bear that in mind.
