If you experience that your Sony Ericsson w995 is buggy and slow, it can lead to the mobile phone screen to hang and freeze up the mobile phone, making it unusable. I have a Sony Ericsson w955 as my daily mobile phone and the sound quality for music is great, but even for me, this handset performs so slow, so i came up with tips to help speed up the processor and ram speed and it helped increase the phones performance dramatically. So i have listed them tips below, so you can also make your w995 faster.
)Close any applications or games that are running in the background , if you are not using them. If they are left running, the ram is clogged up, the CPU is slowed down and the battery life decreases.
)You may have too many files stored on the phone memory or memory card, too many files cause the CPU to slow down because it has to work hard to find them. So delete any unwanted files you no longer need or use.
)Make sure it is running the latest software version, as it has improvements on the speed and stability of operating system.
)Make sure you are not using themes with lots of high resolution graphics and animations, as if you do use them, they can slow down the CPU speed, as it has to work extra hard to load the graphics and animations. So stick to the stock Sony Ericsson theme.
)Every day you should restart the mobile phone. This is by powering it off, by holding the on/off key down for 5 seconds. Then remove the battery from the phone for 30 seconds and then reinsert the battery and then turn on the phone.
)Make sure that the phone is virus free because mobile phones can catch viruses from websites that allow you to download free themes, games and ringtones. You can install a antivirus application onto the phone, to scan and find them unwanted viruses!
