How To Get a DVD To Play Without Using a Remote Control

A DVD player is used to watch content that is stored onto DVD discs. All DVD players come supplied with a remote control from the factory. The remote control allows you to play and navigate through content found on the inserted DVD disc. The remote control uses an infrared sensor to directly communicate with the DVD player at all times. This provides you to use the remote control, in the comfort of sitting on your sofa, within 3 meters of distance. If you either purchased a DVD player second hand from Ebay, lost or broken the remote control, you can still get a DVD to play without using it.

1) Insert the mains plug for the DVD player, into a wall socket and switch it on. This will provide the DVD player with power to make it operational.

2) Press the 'Eject' button, found on the front panel to pop out the disc tray. Open the DVD case, remove the movie you want to watch and insert it into the disc tray. Insert it correctly with the label side facing upwards and the shiny side facing downwards. Then either push or press the 'Eject' button again to close it.

3) The DVD player will now begin to load the content found on the inserted disc. You will see a 'Loading' message onscreen on your television. Look closely at the front panel, you will see a range of different buttons, with different functions placed at the very bottom.

4) Using the front panel will provide you with the very basic level of control on what you can do. Press the 'Play' button to play the DVD. Press the 'Directional' buttons, to navigate through the different options in the title menu. Use the 'Forward' button, to fast forward the movie. Use the 'Rewind' button, to reverse back the movie.
