How To Play Music From USB Drive on Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 has a built in music player application built into the software dashboard that allows you to play music from a USB flash drive. You can store them on a USB flash memory stick drive or your ipod and play it directly from there. If you are wanting to transfer the music across to the console, you can only do that with an actual compact disc.

1) Connect your USB drive to the console either front or back ports.

2) Press the 'Guide' button on gamepad.

3) Select 'Media' followed by 'Music Player'.

4) Select 'Portable Device'.

5) Highlight the sound file you want to play on your TV. You can also play your favorite game during playback, making this ideal for racing games such as Forza Horizon and the motorsport series.
