If you own a Nintendo DS lite and the touch screen is not working, you might require a bottom screen replacement. But before you go ahead with any actual repair, it is always essential that you at least attempt to calibrate the Nintendo DS Lite touch screen. If you notice that the ds lite calibration never ends then its won't be calibrating and is most likely damaged from water.
1) Remove inserted game cartridge from top slot.
2) Switch on the system by pressing the power button.
3) From the setup screen, go to 'Settings' from the 'Menu Panel' and press 'A' to enter.
4) You will see a orange icon that looks like a x with a square in the middle of it.
5) Get your stylus ready and tap the red dots that appear in different areas of the bottom touchscreen. Make sure you touch them as accurately as possible for optimal performance and accuracy.
6) Press the confirm button found at the bottom right hand corner to save the new calibration settings when you are done.
