How To Stop Bass In Car Door Speakers

Your car speakers from the factory are designed to play all bass, mid range and treble frequencies. If you have a subwoofer, you can stop the bass going to the front car door speakers. This will make the vocals sound more clean without any distortion. Front door speakers are not really designed to play deep bass which is why they produce an awful sound at higher volume levels set by your car stereo.

For Aftermarket headunits:

1) Go into 'Audio Settings'.

2) Find the option called 'High pass filter'.

3) Set the high pass filter to 80HZ. This will filter out all the bass frequencies and will not send them to the front car door speakers.

For stock headunits:

1) Find the 'Equalizer' settings.

2) Go into the 'Bass' adjustable option

3) Turn the bass down to -10 DB.
