Is it possible to bridge the Alpine MR-1507 car amp at 1 ohm stable? Can it be done and have you tried it before?
No its not possible because the manufacturer who designed this amp said in the user manual you can't do that. It stated that you can bridge only at 4 ohms safely because it can't handle a lower impedance. Well i refused to take noticed of that and i bridged my own 1507 car amplifier, just to make 100% sure its not possbile. After a week of heavy bass usage, my amplifier burned out and that was it! So i don't recommend bridging it at 1 ohm or even 2 ohms because you risking your amp from overheating and going into protection mode.
