A fuse is used in my car audio products, to prevent a expensive car audio product from shorting out when there is too much voltage. If your car amplifier has stopped working and no longer turns on, i recommend replacing the fuse as a first option.
1)Open your hood and then remove the positive terminal wire that connect your amp to the battery, from the car battery post.
2)Look on your car amplifier for a fuse holder with a fuse already in it. Remove the fuse in the holder and examine the middle part of the fuse. Does the middles part look burnt and melted? If yes is the answer, get your replacement fuse and insert it into the fuse holder. Make sure when you buy a replacement fuse, you make sure it is the same amp rating as the damaged fuse.
3)Get the positive wire and connect it back onto the battery post and close you hood. Power on you car stereo and your amp should hopefully turn on successfully.
