How to fix a broken Nokia charger

Mobile phone chargers can last forever but it all depends on the how many times you charge your phone. After a long period of time, most chargers no longer operate as they should. Usually a charger is not severely broken and you can fix it yourself, with a few handy tools. Fixing a broken Nokia charger is always cheaper then buying a replacement charger.

Below are some excellent tips and solutions that can help you identify the problem and repair you own charger yourself:

1)Get a small brush and clean the pins inside the charger connection plug, that connects to your phone. Sometimes dirt on the pins can prevent your charger to charge up your phone.

2)Remove your charger from your wall socket and get a screwdriver that matches to screw shape. Most chargers have philips screws in them, unless they have torx screws on purpose to prevent you from opening your charger. Using a screwdriver, unscrew the screws that are in the charger. Once unscrewed, dissemble the charger and look at the charger wires carefully and check if they have been disconnect from the circuit board. What tends to happen is, if your charger has dropped in the past, the solder comes of the wires and no longer connects to the circuit board. If you notice the charger wires have come off, get a soldering iron and some cheap solder and solder them back on.

3)If the charger wires have not come off the circuit board, put all the screws back in the charger and screw them all back in. Now examine the charging plug, (the wire that you connect to your phone) and unscrew screws from the charging plug. Once you have removed them, look at the charging plug, are there any loose connection that appear? If there is, get a soldering iron and solder them back on, then close it back up and tighten the screws. Plug the charger into your electrical outlet and plug the charging plug connection into your phone. Does your phone charger charge the battery?
